Books I’ve Written:

Finding Clarity: Design a Business You Love and Simplify Your Marketing by Amanda H Young.

I wrote a business book back in 2016. If you’re starting a business or considering entrepreneurship, it’s a great guide to get you started and offers prompts to get you thinking about what you want.

Healing Books I Love:

The Complete Works of Florence Scovel Shinn: The Game of Life and How to Play It; Your word Is Your Wand; The Secret Door to Success; and The Power of the Spoken Word by Florence Scovel Shinn.

If you want to learn about manifestation and the power of your words, this is the best place to start.

Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience by Brené Brown

She defines and describes 87 emotions and experiences in a clear way that can be easily understood. We need to understand our emotions in order to acknowledge them and most people can only identify mad, glad, and sad. This book helps increase your range of understanding.

The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts by Gary Chapman. Knowing what your top love languages are is a great way to ask for and receive more love from others. Acts of service, gifts, words of affirmation, time spent together, and physical touch are the five languages he covers. In knowing what I prefer and asking my partners and friends what they prefer has been really helpful in showing others that I love them in their preferred language.

Worthy: How to Believe You Are Enough and Transform Your Life by Jamie Kern Lima. Feeling worthy is a common challenge for my clients. Reading Jamie’s success story is inspirational and will help boost your worthiness.

The Wisdom of Anxiety: How Worry & Intrusive Thoughts are Gifts to Help You Heal by Sheryl Paul. Sheryl explains how to start seeing anxiety as a gift and consider that it’s here to help you.

My Own Magic: A Reappearing Act by Anna Kloots

If you’re going through a divorce and need inspiration, this is beautifully written and helps you see you are not alone.

“I knew with certainty that my husband was never trying to hurt me… But there comes a time when you have to separate how you feel about a person from how that person makes you feel about yourself.” ~Anna Kloots

The Big Leap: Conquer Your Hidden Fear and Take Life to the Next Level by Gay Hendricks. This book has changed my relationship to time. I no longer feel rushed or late. I know that I create time, I am time, and I can use it to my advantage.

Gay also explains upper-limit problems and why we get stuck and sabotage ourselves when things get good. You’re sure to get something powerful from this book.

Boundary Boss by Terri Cole. She is the queen of boundaries. This book helped me understand how boundaries can be loving and strong without being selfish and wrong.

How to Meet Your Self: The Workbook for Self-Discovery by Dr. Nicole LePera. She is changing the world with her workbooks and her posts on Instagram. She’s completely shifting how psychology is done and gives you a simple way to heal yourself safely and understand that you are not alone.

How to Be the Love You Seek: Break Cycles, Find Peace, and Heal Your Relationships by Dr. Nicole LePera. Another workbook with a focus on loving yourself so that your relationships all become stronger and more healthy.

The Love Prescription: 7 Days to More Intimacy, Connection, and Joy by John Gottman, PhD and Julie Schwartz Gottman, PhD. The Gottmans are experts in love and relationships and this small book has a mighty lot of great advice for couples wanting to connect in a deeper way. They offer simple steps to engage with your partner in order to feel heard. Just what the doctor ordered!

You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. I reference this book almost daily! She has mapped the mind body connection in a way that offers suggestions for why you have kidney stones, hives, nose bleeds, and you name it.

I use this book as a reference guide to start conversations with myself, and my clients, to see what resonates and look deeper into ways I could be subconsciously blocking myself from what I desire.

Positive Intelligence: Why Only 20% of Teams and Individuals Achieve Their True Potential and How you Can Achieve Yours by Shirzad Chamine.

I was given a $1,000 grant to participate in a coaching program for coaches led by Shirzad Chamine, the author of Positive Intelligence, and it changed my life. He has done incredible research on what keeps us from performing at our best and offers great tips to help you identify your saboteurs (The Judge, Controller, Hyper-Achiever, Avoider, etc.) and has an online quiz you can take to see where you score highest currently.

Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything by Joshua Foer. I recommend this book to anyone who says, “I’m so bad with names.” That’s your story and this book will teach you how to remember names, grocery lists, and all sorts of other things you want to remember.

Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert B Cialdini, Ph.D. I love this book because it explains why we feel obligated to give someone a gift in return when they give us a gift, and helps us understand human behavior and how it can be manipulated by marketers. Knowledge is power and the knowledge in this book is particularly powerful.
